Turkey to erect permanent food center in Somalia

Acting Director General of the Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society, Ahmet Lutfi Akar, said Tuesday that they have sent 70 million Turkish liras in aid to Somalia so far.

Speaking to the AA, Akar said that they have collected 70 million TL and will soon send this money to Somalia.

We are preparing to send a mobile kitchen and oven to Somalia. We will erect a permanent food center and construct an oven that would serve 50,000 people per day, Akar said.

Somalia happens to be in a very difficult condition. They need everything. There has got to be a central force coordinating aid, Akar also said.
