Iran to begin mass production of anti-tank rockets

Iran ’s defense industry began producing a line of anti-tank rockets, with the capacity to destroy tanks, armor, and enemy ammunition depots, IRIB reported, quoting Iran’s Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi as saying.

"The rocket strong warhead enables objects to be destroyed at a distance of 1,300 meters - it is light-weight with high precision to strike. It plays an important role in close combat and distant strikes", he said.

The rocket will be used in ground operations. The rocket has high precision compared to other anti-tank rockets, he added.

He noted that the defense industry aims to increase the mobility of military forces; with mass production of rockets the result will increase remarkably.

Iran ’s Defense Ministry started several air and naval defense projects and showcased a cruise missile, torpedo system, and a marine engine, and will launch long-rage radars in the near future, with a capacity to detect objects at a range of several thousand kilometers.
