Turkish Minister of Health, Recep Akdag, said Monday that they would send a mobile hospital with 30 tonnes of medicines and medical equipment and a health team of 20 people to famine stricken Somalia on Wednesday.
In a press conference held in Turkish capital of Ankara, Akdag said that the mobile hospital, medicines, medical equipment and the group of 20 health experts would be sent to Somalia in a Turkish Airlines jet on Wednesday.
The group of 20 health experts includes 4 medical doctors.
We plan to erect the mobile hospital a day before Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan visits Somalia on Thursday, Akdag also said.
