US Ambassador to Armenia nominee candidacy still not agreed on

27 July 2011 [13:08] - TODAY.AZ
As a result of the Armenian Diaspora’s propaganda, the next nominee Ambassador of the US President for Armenia John Heffern deferred consideration at the Senate Foreign Committee until its next business meeting.

According to the Committee, Heffern nomination had been "carried over" a move typically used by Senators to allow additional time to review a nominee’s credentials and testimony.

In his July 13 testimony Ambassador Heffern told the Senators that he would not use the word "genocide" to describe the events of 1915 in Turkey.

Most of Heffern’s opponents at the Senate Committee are the Democratic Senators Robert Menendez and Barbara Boxer.

Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora members, while evaluating these events accuse the Armenian Diaspora in creating problems to the US diplomacy due to their fallacy interests and blackmail of administration.
