Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemns Armenian president’s statements

27 July 2011 [11:23] - TODAY.AZ
“We strongly condemn the President Sargsyan’s statement made when he answered the question of a student during the Armenian language and literature competition on July 25 in Armenia”, said the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Turkish ministry strongly protested against the Sargsyan’s statement where he acknowledged that they occupied Karabakh and entrusted the future generations with a task to seize the west of Turkey – the region of Agri Dagh.

“The main purpose of the state figures is to prepare the society, particularly the young people for the peace, stability and prosperous future. It is very irresponsible action to provoke the young people and future generations to the abhorrence and enmity between the people. While peace efforts in the region are rising, Sargsyan’s words are signs of his non-commitment to peace. We believe that everyone, who makes efforts for the peace and stability in the region, will draw a conclusion from the Sargsyan’s irrelevant words, which disappointed us”.
