Polish president arrives in Batumi

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and his wife Anne Komorowski have arrived in Batumi Komorowska.

They were met by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and First Lady Sandra Roelofs at the airport.

The Polish and Georgian first ladies have their own meeting programs.
They have begun going sightseeing in Adjara today.

Roelofs told media that she has excellent relations with former Polish First Lady Maria Kaczyńska killed in the air crash.

"I would like to have the same relations with Anne Komorowski," she said. "I will do my best, as the Polish and Georgian people are very close spiritually."

The Polish president arrived in Batumi after leaving Baku. He is a personal guest of President Saakashvili. He visits Georgia within his South Caucasus tour.

President Komorowski will meet with President Saakashvili and chairman of the Georgian Parliament in Batumi today. They will discuss the issues of Georgian-Polish cooperation and Poland's assistance to Georgia in the European integration and international organizations.

The Georgian-Polish business forum will be held in Tbilisi on July 27.
