Supreme Leader: Anti-Iran plots doomed to failure

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution warns of plots hatched by the US and its allies, to inflict damage on Iran, saying such attempts are doomed to failure, Press TV reported.

By exerting pressures, including sanctions, the enemies sought to disappoint the Iranian people and cause the Islamic Revolution to fail, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday.

The Leader emphasized that the Iranian nation will thwart all the conspiracies through hope and endless effort.

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with Chairman of Iran's Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) Mohammad Nahavandian; Head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Yahya Ale-Eshaq and members of the two chambers' Presiding Boards in Tehran on Tuesday.

The Leader pointed to Iran's great progress made in various fields, particularly in economic sector, and called on Iranian officials to refrain from interpreting the conditions negatively.

The Leader urged the economic activists in Iran's Chamber of Commerce to shoulder more responsibility and play their role with regard to the ongoing situations in the country.
