14TH Turksoy opera days kick off in Turkey

The 14th opera days, which are one of the biggest projects of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, started at the Mersin State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Turkey.

The 14th Opera Days mark the 125th anniversary of the great Tatar poet Abdullah Tukay.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Dusen Kaseinov, TURKSOY Director General stressed that this organization is one of the most important projects to strengthen cultural relations between the countries of the Turkic world.

The second stage of the 14th opera days will be held in historical Kyrenia Castle, Northern Cyprus, while the final concert in Istanbul at the Surayya Opera Theatre.
