Iranian female football players punished for hijab

The Iranian Women's Football Team faced difficulties in the second qualifying round for the Olympics 2012 in London, Eurosport said.

A FIFA delegate banned the players from playing in the hijab, but the team did not make concessions. The Iranian Women's Football Team appeared on the field, sang a hymn, kissed their flag and left the field.

The Iranian women forfeited with a score of 0:3.
