Georgian president, Turkish PM hold talks

Batumi hosted a one-on-one meeting between Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Saakashvili met with Erdogan at the Batumi airport where Erdogan’s plane landed.

Saakashvili and Erdogan traveled to the newly opened House of Justice in Batumi. The sides held a one-on-one meeting, which lasted more than 40 minutes.

No statements were made following the meeting.

Saakashvili and Erdogan will visit the Sarpi checkpoint on the Georgian-Turkish border and open a new customs checkpoint, which will be jointly managed by Turkey and Georgia.
