Turkey prepares automotive action plan and strategy

Turkey made public on Thursday a 27-article action plan regarding the general purpose and targets of the automotive industry.

The new automotive strategy has been prepared according to analysis of developments in Turkey, the European Union (EU) and the world.

The vision of the action plan and strategy is to make Turkey a production center in its region and a R&D base.

The general purpose of the strategy, covering the years between 2011 and 2014, is to raise global competitive power of the automotive industry.

The strategy also aims to rehabilitate R&D studies, increase design, production and trademark capacities of companies, develop domestic and foreign markets, rehabilitate legal and administrative regulations, improve physical infrastructure.
