Iran's Army will put on display its latest achievements next week, ISNA reported as saying Commander of the Army's Ground Forces Brigadier-General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan.
Pourdastan said Tuesday that the achievements in telecommunications, electronic warfare, drones, missile systems, refurbished armored equipment and aerial defense systems will be showcased on April 18 marking the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army Day, Fars news agency reported.
The top Iranian commander said that aerial parades will also be conducted.
Pourdastan pointed out that the Iranian Army's Ground Forces is scheduled to conduct two major drills this year.
He also referred to structural reforms of the army and said as part of such changes, the units of the Ground Forces of Iran's Army will be deployed along all the borders of the country.
Earlier in March, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei approved reforms in the structure, composition and organization of the Ground Forces.
The changes to the military bases belonging to the Ground Forces aim to increase the flexibility and the operational power of the forces.
