Park named after Heydar Aliyev to open in Turkish province

A park named after Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev will be opened in Kocaeli on Dec. 25, prior to the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani State Committee for Diaspora reported with reference to the Federation of Turkish-Azerbaijani Circles.

The park will contain a marble plaque, which will reflect Heydar Aliyev's life and his words about the fraternal ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan. The park is equipped with modern football and basketball grounds, all conditions for the rest of people.

The opening ceremony will be attended by the representatives of the State Committee for Diaspora, the governor and the chairpersons of the municipalities of Kocaeli, representatives of political parties, NGOs, media and MPs.

Earlier, the State Committee signed a protocol with the Kyartepe municipality of Turkish Kocaeli province, which envisages establishing a park named after Heydar Aliyev on the territory of the municipality.
