Efforts are underway in state institutions and NGOs in Turkey to help people of flood-stricken Pakistan. Bank accounts were opened within the scope of the aid campaigns launched for victims of recent flood disaster in Pakistan. Turkish Red Crescent will collect the contributions in kind and financial aid and sent it to the region to meet the needs of flood victims.
Red Crescent will also send 105 tonnes of aid material to the region in line with the needs. Prefabricated houses to meet temporary sheltering needs of the people of the region will be sent by train. Red Crescent earlier sent 140 tonnes of aid material, including foodstuffs and cleaning equipment, potable water, blankets, medicine and tents to the region.
