Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the UN Security Council move to impose additional sanctions against Iran for its persistent implementation of the nuclear program, bypassing the requirements of the international community, is "illegal and inappropriate."
In his televised speech on Press TV, Ahmadinejad announced that the new round of sanctions against Tehran marks "the end of the UN Security Council that has become an instrument of aggressive policy of the West."
"All members of the UN Security Council are under constant pressure from the U.S. administration," Ahmadinejad added. The Iranian leader reiterated that the UN Security Council failed to condemn Israel for crimes committed against human rights defenders onboard Marmaris ship.
"Crimes onboard Freedom Flotilla caused much more hatred toward Israel, which holds territories of the Palestinian people under occupation for more than 60 years,” he said.
Ahmadinejad said that Israel would soon collapse, because the whole world is tuned against the Zionist regime.
