Candidate for Tbilisi mayor launches a new political party

Ivanishvili said at the briefing that his party would be called People's Democrats.

He has also said that the party's founding congress would be held on March 4, where he would be officially nominated as the candidate of Tbilisi mayor.

Ivanishvili refrains from naming his allies; however, he asserts that many famous faces will emerge beside him in his political activities.

Ivanishvili plans no alliances with any other opposition parties and pledges to fight independently for victory.
