Tehran continues to consider plans to start construction of two more plants on uranium enrichment in 2010, Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Director Ali Akbar Salehi said.
Salehi said the country's leadership considers the possibility of starting the construction of two uranium enrichment plants in 2010, whose capacity may be compared with the Natanz plant.
Salehi said new types of centrifuge will be used while constructing the new plants.
Salehi said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad will make a statement on new generation of centrifuges on the National Nuclear Technology Day April 9.
The U.S. and other western countries suspect Iran of developing nuclear weapons, whilst Tehran categorically rejects these suspicions, mentioning the peaceful character of its nuclear program. The UN Security Council has adopted five resolutions with regards to Iran, three of which are sanctions adopted particularly because of Tehran's refusal to suspend uranium enrichment.
