First president of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian National Congress leader Levon Ter-Petrossian, yesterday met with the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany delegation led by party vice-chair Markus Löning.
Discussed during the meeting were issues related to the state of democracy in Armenia, the release of political prisoners, and overcoming corruption, as well as cooperating with the liberal democratic party in European structures.
Also discussed were regional issues, including Armenia-Turkey relations and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as Turkey’s possible EU accession.
Also participating in the meeting with representatives from the Armenian National Congress’ head office: Levon Zurabyan and Davit Shahnazaryan.
