The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) has started a demonstration in Yerevan.
About ANC 400 supporters are going to express their support for Nikola Pashinyan, arrested editor of Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper who is also running for the Armenian parliament.
Opening the demonstration, board member of the former ruling Armenia National Movement (ANM), a member of the ANC, Aram Manukyan said that all the political forces of the Armenian National Congress will be involved to achieve success in the election campaign.
ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosian, leader of Armenia’s People's Party Stepan Demirchiyan, chairman of Republic Party’s political council Aram Sargsyan, ANM Chairman Ararat Zurabyan and former Deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jahangiryan are among the rally participants.
