Iran and Turkmenistan on Wednesday inaugurated a new gas pipeline to raise natural gas imports from the Central Asian state to the Islamic Republic by 20 billion cubic meters a year.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Turkmen counterpart Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov attended the inauguration ceremony of the 31-kilometer pipeline at the Dovletebad gas field in southeastern Turkmenistan.
