The Saudi Development Fund (SFD) is considering the allocation of $50 million for the construction of 38 public schools in Kyrgyzstan. This issue was discussed during a working visit to Riyadh by Sadyr Zhaparov, who met with the Executive Director of the SFD, Sultan Abdurakhman Al-Marshad, Azernews reports.

During the meeting, the Kyrgyz president also proposed exploring the possibility of increasing funding for the second phase of the mortgage housing construction project.

Al-Marshad expressed the Fund's readiness to expand cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting projects aimed at the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized that the Fund would make every effort to participate in the implementation of ongoing initiatives and strengthen bilateral ties in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, and housing.

In recent years, the Saudi Development Fund has been increasingly involved in supporting key infrastructure projects in Central Asia, especially in Kyrgyzstan. This is part of Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to strengthen ties with countries in the region and promote economic development through targeted investments in education, healthcare, and housing. The proposed $50 million investment in education is expected to significantly enhance the quality of public schooling in Kyrgyzstan, which has been a priority for the government.
