Turkey, Qatar to mull regional issues

Ankara and Doha will discuss regional issues during the two-day visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to Qatar, the Turkish Foreign Ministry told Trend on Nov. 1.

Cavusoglu’s visit to Qatar will begin on November 1, 2018.

During the visit, Cavusoglu will meet with his Qatari counterpart Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. During the talks, the issues of strengthening bilateral relations will also be discussed.

Turkey and Qatar held political consultations on October 4, 2018.

Qatar currently ranks 19th among countries that have made direct investments in Turkish economy.

Foreign investments in the Turkish economy amount to $4.108 billion. Qatari investments in the Turkish economy reach $541 million.

About 68 percent of foreign direct investments in the Turkish economy come from European countries. Spain ranks first among European countries that have made direct investments in the Turkish economy.
