Turkey increases quota for free treatment of Kyrgyz citizens

The healthcare ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have agreed to increase the quota for the treatment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkish clinics to 150 people, Kabar news agency reported.

Since 2014, Turkey has started to annually provide a quota for free treatment to 100 Kyrgyz citizens as part of an agreement between the governments of the two countries on cooperation in healthcare.

In accordance with the agreement, 50 people are selected by the commission of the Healthcare Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, and 50 people are selected by the Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.

Only treatment in Turkish clinics is free, and the patients pay for all other expenses themselves.
