Meeting of 'old and new' in Iran

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met with newly elected Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on June 14. The meeting was held at the Centre for Strategic Studies of the Iranian Advisory Council, FARS news agency reported today.

Besides Ahmadinejad, representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader in the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili attended the meeting.

Ahmadinejad and Rouhani discussed a number of issues which are on the agenda.

It should be stressed that Hassan Rouhani was elected president by gaining more than 50 per cent of the votes in the presidential elections held on June 14.
