Those attempting to assassinate Turkish president and PM arrested

Seven people have been arrested on the case of attempts to assassinate Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Haber7 TV channel quotes Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin as saying on Thursday.

According to Shahin, seven attempts were made to assassinate Turkish Prime Minister, but all attempts were prevented.

Shahin also said that one of the attempts to assassinate Erdogan was made in 2005, and another - March 6, 2009.
