Another meeting to be held on prevention of Georgian-Ossetian conflict

A regular meeting on the mechanisms to prevent and respond to incidents will be held in Ergneti on Tuesday. It will bring together representatives from Georgia, Russia, the UN, the OSCE, the EU and Tskhinvali.

The Georgian side plans to raise the issue about the incident that took place on Dec.2, when a fixed route taxi was fired on by the Ossetian side. Luckily no one died.

In reposnse, the Ossetian side representative Murad Dzhioev said he will raise the issue of Marek Dudaev, George Zaseev, George Valiev and Soslan Kochiev, who are being kept in Georgian prisons.

"These are our citizens whose charges are falsified and who are illegally kept in Georgian prisons," Dzhioev said.

He said that during the twenty-second round of Geneva negotiations, the Ossetian side briefed the participants with the details of the arrest of these people.
