Turkish premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a phone talk with US President Barack Obama on Israel's offensive on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu reported.
Turkish Prime Ministry said two leaders expressed joint concern that the current tension could negatively affect the peace process and the region.
Sources said Erdogan and Obama had agreed that the clashes must stop immediately without further escalation of the tension and they expressed that they would hold the necessary talks to secure a truce.
