Turkish soldiers killed in operation against PKK

Two soldiers of Turkish Army were killed, while four others were wounded in a special operation of the country's security forces against militants of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party on the border with Iraq in the Hakkari Province, CNN Turk TV channel reported on Thursday.

Thirteen PKK militants were killed in the operation, which has lasted since Wednesday.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
