A meeting of new friendly countries of Georgia will be held within the NATO ministerial at the headquarters of the Alliance in Brussels on Thursday.
As Georgian Foreign Ministry said, the meeting will be attended by foreign ministers of 11 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, which are included in a new group of friends of Georgia.
The meeting aims at developing a common position of these countries towards Georgia at the NATO Summit in Chicago. Members of this group believe that Georgia should get a new impetus and a clear statement from NATO on its integration into the Alliance.
The Georgian delegation at the meeting will be headed by Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze. He will also hold bilateral meetings within the ministerial.
