The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief has called for the continuation of dialogue with Iran, ahead of a fresh round of multifaceted talks between Tehran and the world’s six major powers (P5+1).
Iran's nuclear energy case needs cooperation of all parties concerned to resolve the outstanding issues, Yukiya Amano said in an interview with Kuwait’s News Agency (KUNA) on Friday.
He added that the new round of negotiations between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany is scheduled to kick-start in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Saturday after a hiatus of 15 months.
The UN nuclear agency chief emphasized that the Istanbul meeting "gains great importance and we hope that it yields specific results" that will help the IAEA in resolving the outstanding issues.
