Oil embargo impsosed on Iran's oil exports is a nothing but a publicity stunt, member of Iran parliament's energy comission Ali Adyani said, Fars reported.
On Mon. 23, EU nations agreed on an oil embargo against Iran as part of sanctions meant to pressure the country to resume talks on its nuclear program.
"The applied sanctions will only hurt those countries who rely on Iran's oil, while the effect would not impact Iran's own economy," Adyani added. "The outcome of the sanctions would be the jump of the oil prices at world markets, and this would impact Western countries," Adyani said. He also added that "Iran has a possibility to strike back at the sanctions.
