Syrian press highlights Azerbaijan’s achievements - PHOTO

Syrians Day-Press, authoritative internet portal in the Arab world has published an article called “Azerbaijan in the 20 years of its independence”. Muslim countries, the Arab world and Syria, country`s progressed achieved over the past 20 years, national leader Heydar Aliyev`s indisputable role in the strengthening the statehood, successful policy for the development of republic led by President Ilham Aliyev, election of Azerbaijan as a non-permanent member to the UN Security Council, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, oil-gas strategy, tourism potential and culture of the country.

The author also touches on Azerabijan`s cooperative relations with Muslim countries and Arab states and being the active member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), the country determines resolute position on such issues, as the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, the restoration of Syria`s territorial integrity and stability protection in Iraq.
