Azerbaijani municipal candidates finish pre-election campaign

The pre-election campaign for rerun, additional and new municipal elections has finished in Azerbaijan.  No political party or block was registered in these elections, the agitation was carried out by registered candidates.

According to the electoral legislation, the campaign started at 08.00 on Nov. 7, continued for 21 days and finished at 08.00 today. The municipal elections scheduled for Nov. 30 will be held in 86 electoral districts for 464 vacancies in 330 municipalities. Azerbaijan held last municipal elections on Dec. 23, 2009.
