Int'l workshop “Border security and combating drug distribution” runs in Baku

Baku hosts an international workshop “Border security and combating the drug distribution” under the auspices of NATO organized by the Azerbaijani State Border Service.

Representatives of border organizations of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as NATO, UN, European Union, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, National Security Ministry, Interior and Defence ministries, State Migration Service, State Customs Committee, the State Commission for Fighting Against Drug Addiction and Illicit Drugs participate in the two-day workshop.

The workshop will focus on the establishment of efficient border control system, holding presentations on works carried out on prevention of drug distribution, combating the trans-border crime and the other issues.

the workshop participants will become familiar with service, organization of training-education and social-living conditions at the State Border Service Academy.
