Several agreements to be signed during Bulgarian president’s visit to Azerbaijan

A number of bilateral agreements on cooperation in such spheres as social provision, information protection, education and other spheres will be signed during the Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov's visit to Azerbaijan on Nov.14-15, Bulgarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vasil Kalinov said on Thursday.

Draft agreements are under the last stage of being worked out he added. During the visit, Mr Parvanov will discuss state affairs and the prospects of the development of bilateral relations in political and economic matters, including the one relating to energy when he meets the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and other officials.

This will be Mr Parvanov's last visit to Azerbaijan as president as his term of office expires in January 2012. According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, trade turnover between the countries hit $230.8 million in January-July 2011.
