"Azerbaijan will effectively use its non-permanent membership to the UN Security Council for the solution of Karabakh problem"

“Election of Azerbaijan as the non-permanent member to the UN Security Council is a great diplomatic victory.

Of course, our country will effectively use this opportunity for the solution of Karabakh problem”, Chairman of the Public Union of Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Karabakh Region of Azerbaijan Republic Bayram Safarov told the website of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP).

Safarov said Armenia was seriously concerned about the achievements of Azerbaijan and this factor was playing certain role in the last developments in authorities of the invader country. “Probably some of the Armenian officials understand that their course will not be effective for them. Therefore such situation was created there. Azerbaijan achieves sustainable diplomatic successes and I consider that the UN Security Council must think about the fulfillment of its four resolutions. Azerbaijan’s election to this influential organization could promote this process. Azerbaijan’s position is based on the international law. If the UN Security Council really calls for peace and security, Armenia must make resolute decision concerning its aggression against Azerbaijan”.
