Otto von Bismarck once said - "Stupidity is a gift from God, however one shouldn't abuse it."Considering some particular latest events, it seems like Armenia loves this kind of abuse, and is willing to go even further. One bright example of such abuse is the upcoming "Eurovision-2012" contest, that will take place in Baku.
Now, we can understand, that Armenia still can't calm down because we won the contest this year. Some armenian experts claim that Baku won't be able to handle the flow of tourists, who will come to see "Eurovision". How can such statements be made, by people, who never even been in Baku? That's not all however. It gets better (or worse).
According to some armenian media sources, "Baku can only handle about 31 000 tourists". Now, we can make one thing clear here: This number of tourists is what one developed Azerbaijani region can handle, let alone the capital itself, which is being visited by thousands of tourists more than the number stated by armenian "journalists".
On the other hand...is all of this really necessary? Let's not forget who we're talking to here. These people don't have any shame at all, showing off their stupidity, and (even going further) by stating that "Baku expects around 71 million of tourists..." - on the other hand, this kind of sick imagination can definitely put a smile on someone's face.
We do appreciate the worries of armenian journalists, but there's no need for that - Azerbaijan has proved that any project, or event, or festival of international scale can be organized here, without any problems.
Speaking of such projects - Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee has already announced about the application for hosting the "2020 Olympic Games" in Baku. And, just for the sake of stating the obvious: a country that is ready to jump as high as Olympic Games, would have no problems of hosting a "Eurovision" song contest.
People say, haters hate, and that's exactly what Armenian propaganda is doing. Not that they're any good at it, but still. The hate towards Azerbaijan hosting the upcoming Song Contest is long from being over, however this is not something the host country should concentrate on.
"Eurovision" officials have stated that they expect a fantastic show in Baku next year, and that's exactly what they're going to get. As for the "haters" in the face of Armenia - abusing the stupidity never really helped anyone, and it sure won't help them.
