Head of Azerbaijan Presidential Administration meets Nobel Laureate in chemistry

Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev has today met Director of Physical Biology Center of the California Institute of Technology, Nobel Laureate in chemistry Ahmed Zewail.

Zewail expressed pleasure with his visit to Azerbaijan and participation in the Baku International Humanitarian Forum. Mr. Zewail praised a speech of Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev in the Forum, in particular the Head of State`s ideas on science and education.

The professor said he had eye-witnessed big development in Azerbaijan. Mehdiyev thanked Mr. Zewail for attending the Baku International Humanitarian Forum. The Head of Azerbaijan`s Presidential Administration stressed the importance of such events in terms of international cooperation and mutual understanding.

Mehdiyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s achievements gained during the 20 years of independence.

Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev highlighted the government`s care and attention to development of science and education in Azerbaijan.
