Samad Seyidov: The further activity of Christoph Strasser will be clarified at the autumn session of PACE

The further activity of PACE rapporteur on political prisoners Christoph Strasser will be clarified at the autumn session, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, parliamentarian Samad Seyidov said.

He said the Azerbaijani side will demonstrate its unambiguous position at the session of PACE that will start on September 15.

“We are going to demand to put an end to the double standards and judge the attempts of usage of non-existent issues as pressure,” he said.

Samad Seyidov said the position of the Azerbaijani side will be publicized at the meeting of the PACE committee on human rights in Paris on September 8. The date of the visit of co-rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Joseph Debono Grech and Pedro Agramunt will be known at the meeting of the committee.

The tenure of PACE rapporteur on political prisoners Christoph Strasser will expire in autumn.
