Azeri MP meets Turkey`s Bayburt local authorities

Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament Ganira Pashayeva, who is attending the 17th Bayburt Dede Korkut International Culture and Art Festival, has met with Turkey`s Bayburt governor Kerem AI and head of Bayburt municipality Hacı Ali Polat. Pashayeva provided information about the Armenian vandalism in the occupied Azerbaijani territories.

She stressed Armenia`s occupation of Azerbaijani territories forced more than a million refugees and IDPs from their homes. The parliamentarian underlined that thousands of Azerbaijanis had been killed during occupation of the country`s territories by Armenians. Kerem AI and Hacı Ali Polat hailed friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries.

They, both, stressed Turkey is always backing Azerbaijan`s position in Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. Pashayeva has presented the Turkish officials with books featuring Azerbaijani truth, history and culture. During the meeting, the sides agreed on town twinning between Bayburt and Azerbaijan`s Tovuz region.
