Azerbaijan`s ombudsperson meets compatriots in Lithuania

Azerbaijan`s Commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova visited country`s embassy in Lithuania as part of her visit to Vilnius to attend the OSCE Conference for National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs). Suleymanova met with Azerbaijanis living in Lithuania in the embassy. She spoke of the progress achieved in human rights field, implementation of decisions of the 3rd Congress of World Azerbaijanis and other issues.

The Commissioner noted the importance of solidarity of Azerbaijanis living in different countries.
The meeting saw discussions on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, situation and rights of refugees and IDPs, situation of national minorities in Azerbaijan and other issues.
