
Czech President Václav Klaus has sent a letter to the Azeri-Czech Society over naming one of the street in the Ashagi Agjakand settlement where IDPs from Khojaly living after Czech`s Lidice city,.
The letter says:
“Mr. Chairman, accept my gratitude for invitation to participate in the opening ceremony of the street named after Czech`s Lidice city in the Khojaly city of Azerbaijan, for your congratulations on my 70th anniversary as well. I remember my recent visit to your country with great pleasure. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accept your invitation, but asked the Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan to attend the event.
I want to express my gratitude personally to you and your society again and wish you successes in your activity.”
