Iraqi Ambassador visits Azerbaijan`s Institute of Oriental Studies

Iraqi ambassador Sheydar Shiya Gubeyshi Al-Barrak has visited the Azerbaijan`s Institute of Oriental Studies named after Academican Ziya Bunyadov.

Director of the Institute and member of Azerbaijani parliament Govhar Bakhshaliyeva briefed the Iraqi ambassador on the activity of the Institute.

Bakhshaliyeva also stressed the Institute regularly holds “roundtables” to discuss political processes in the Arab world. She expressed her hope that tension would go down as soon as possible and Arab nations would live in peace.

Speaking in the meeting, the Iraqi ambassador noted the importance of expanding relations between Iraq and Institute of Oriental Studies, saying he would spare no efforts to assist cooperation between the Iraqi and Azerbaijani scientists.
