US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense: We give priority to the military cooperation with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel-General Safar Abiyev received US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Celeste Wallander, Defense Ministry’s press service said.

Underlining the importance of military cooperation between the countries, Safar Abiyev informed the guest about the military-political situation, problems created by Armenia concerning the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Wallander said the US gives priority to the military cooperation with Azerbaijan and noted necessity of improving the relations.

US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza also attended the meeting. He introduced the US newly-appointed military attaché to Minister Safar Abiyev.
