Date of Azerbaijani, Swedish foreign ministers' meeting announced

Villa Petrolea, the Historical residence of Nobel brothers in Baku will host talks between Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Sweden, Elmar Mammadyarov and Carl Bildt on June 13, says a press-release by Baku Nobel Heritage Fund.

Carl Bildt arrives in Baku for the first time in his post as a Foreign Minister, within a visit to South Caucasus countries. Carl Bild had visited Baku in the summer of 2009 as a Chairman of the European Union.

After the talks, an official luncheon will be given on behalf of minister Mammadyarov in honor of Swedish foreign minister. The event will be attended by senior officials of Foreign Ministries of both countries, Azerbaijani Ambassador in Stockholm Rafael Ibrahimov and Chairman of the Baku Nobel Heritage Fund Togrul Bagirov.

Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt will tour the Southern Caucasus region from Sunday 12 June until Wednesday 15 June, Swedish Foreign Ministry's press-statement says. He will visit Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to get an update of the political situation in the region and for bilateral talks with the countries' foreign ministers.
