Expert: Azerbaijan-Russia interaction can establish basis for many projects

The second Russian-Azerbaijani forum was organized at a high level and become a constructive platform for dialogue between both parties, the Deputy Dean of the History Department of Moscow State University, Chief Editor of the Vestnik Kavkaza and Trend Expert Council member, Alexei Vlasov, said. Vlasov also attended the Forum "Russia - Azerbaijan: towards new horizons of interregional cooperation".

"The two-day forum’s agenda included the discussions on joint projects and meetings of experts and managers, as well as an open and respectful debate on the issues of bilateral relations," Vlasov told Trend. The sides have taken extremely constructive positions in all areas of interaction - economics, politics and innovation."

He said the roundtable on problems of interaction in the Caspian Sea was of particular importance. The event was attended by highly qualified experts, who were able to propose specific projects to turn the Caspian Sea in an area of peace and effective cooperation.

"All speakers stressed that the Russia- Azerbaijan interaction can establish a framework to develop urgent projects such as the International Center for the Study of the Caspian Sea, Caspian Media Forum and others," Vlasov said.
