Azerbaijani Parliament speaker meets with OSCE PA chairman

Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov met with the chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Petros Efthymiou.

The integration to Europe is one of the main directions of the foreign policy of Azerbaijan, Oktay Asadov said at a meeting. He said that today Azerbaijan closely cooperates with all foreign organizations, including the OSCE PA. At the meeting Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament expressed his hope that the visit of the OSCE PA chairman will contribute to the development and intensification of relations between Azerbaijan and the OSCE.

Azerbaijan is not only an active member of the OSCE, but also a leading country in the region, Efthymiou said. The OSCE PA chairman expressed his hope that mutual visits and meetings will play a significant role in the development of ties.
