Azerbaijan is a happy country, an example of a secular state, blend in with the Islamic and Turkic world, the Chairman of the Democratic Reforms Party of Azerbaijan, MP Asim Mollazade.

"Azerbaijan, with its traditions of tolerance and secularism, is perhaps one of the best models for the Islamic and Turkic world," Mollazade said in his speech in Baku at the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.

"Azerbaijan is a country which is ready for the intercultural and inter-civilizational dialogue and that has a successful experience. I am proud that our country has religious cooperation and that we have an orthodox Christian and even Armenian church. It is very important because the use of religion in politics sometimes creates a very dangerous consequences such as war," said Mollazade.

He said modern technologies allow people to express themselves openly, but at the same time, such strong resources can become a dangerous tool in the hands of the prejudiced person.

"In parallel, there are sources that discuss ways to achieve peace, and those who pose a threat and support terrorism, promote the organization of terrorist attacks and revolutions," the MP said.
