Azerbaijan's representatives attend international forum in Amsterdam

International Forum entitled "Urban Heritage, Public-private partnership meets heritage preservation", has been started on Thursday in Amsterdam.

The event, co-organized by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and the Municipality of Amsterdam, brings together government officials of Netherlands and other states, as well as Azerbaijan's representatives.

The participants debate themes on the preservation of historic urban landscape, public-private partnership, historical, architectural monuments' protection and other issues.

Baku's and Amsterdam's historical centers` presentation were held in the first session.

A head of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Preserve Mikayil Jabbarov provided information on Preserve's activity and realized projects to protect cultural heritage.

International experts of the Forum recommended other states to use Azerbaijan's experience in protection and management of historical cities which are included into the UNESCO 's World heritage List.

Fuad Iskandarov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Netherlands participates in the Forum.
