Azerbaijani ambassador speaks at Georgian university

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev met with the Georgian International Relations University’s professors and students, the embassy reported.

The meeting was dedicated to the genocide of Azerbaijanis committed by Armenian gangs in 1918-1919. Then, Armenians killed more than 50.000 civilians.

The Armenian Dashnaks who seized power under Stepan Shaumyan's leadership in March 1918 killed tens of thousands of civilians.

According to a decree signed in 1998 by Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev, March 31 is Azerbaijani Genocide Day.
